This week you will:

  • Watch some Animal Makeup Videos.
  • Research the Animal face/head you wish to imitate.
  • Draw in outline & color on your face sheet based on a merging of the photos of the animal and the stylization concepts you observed in your previous Non Western stylized makeup .
  • Apply makeup to your face to make your Animal Makeup.
  • Do a short photo shoot to get fabulous photos of your makeup & rendering.
  • Upload your photos to the makeup and rendering assignment pages.

PLEASE NOTE:

This project is intended to stretch your ability to design and execute a makeup that will have you change the seeming shape of your face with 2-d paint.  This means no super simplified cartoon critters like cartoon “Happy Bunny” or “Hello Kitty”, or the pretty but cartoonish “Fauns” and  “Sexy Xmas Reindeer” makeup tutorials that do not do this face shape change.  You can do cartoon stylized animals in the upcoming Face Paint assignment, but this assignment you should base on actual faces of real animals and NOT stylized Cartoons or Xmas Party Deer!
